This project actually began nearly a decade ago! The concept to photograph firemen in their work and natural environments first entered my thoughts in 1995. That same year I became involved with a calander featuring policemen in my hometown of Phoenix, Arizona. To make a very long story short, the firemen concept was placed on the future things to do. The policemen calender took all my time. In 2001 I moved to Paris and decided to rescurect my skills as a promoter and photographer, thus self/employment. The idea of the firemen photo book was again at the forefront of my ambitions. I began to seek information about French firemen and eventually through much effort received a blasie authourization to commence from the headquarters. The entire production was difficult, getting willing subjects, adminstrative approval and locating a competent printer. Because of difficulties with previous editors, this book is produce under the artist authority. It is an art creation of immeasurable dedication to the spirit within. The printing includes 2000 limited editions. It will not be sold in stores for this price and is not available publically until after 334 subscriptions are placed online.
